JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides high level of customer service by:
    • Greeting and welcomes all patients and visitors
    • Ensuring all patients are registered and in the system
    • Patients requiring assistance are provided it as needed
    • Keeping a clean work area to represent the professional image of the client
  • collects deposits/co-payments/deductibles/patient liability payments when applicable, provides patient receipt and documents payment in the registration/billing systems
  • Obtains demographic/billing/insurance information from patient/family/legal guardian and enters into the registration/billing systems for service and claim processing and scans insurance cards & photo identification. Provides to the patient, information concerning insurance, payment of bills and hospital procedures
  • Prepares paperwork for patient exams in advance, including add-ons, and give the paperwork to appropriate modality
  • Answer phones and assist callers
  • Schedules, reschedules, or cancels patients in accordance with client workflows

Client Required Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year of experience in the medical field preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of patient registration and insurance verification preferred
  • Must possess proficient computer skills
  • Must have the ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks in a high-volume practice
  • Must have professional and effective communication and customer service skills and be able to deal with many different personalities
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team and be willing to assist other team members as needed

401(k) ELIGIBILITY

e4health offers a retirement benefits package including 401(k) with company match.

  • Full-time employees will be eligible to contribute to a 401(k)-retirement account after successfully completing 90 days of employment.
  • Part-time employees will be eligible to contribute to a 401(k)-retirement account after completing 250 hours of worktime.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Sitting, talking, hearing and near vision are required over 90% of the time. Feeling is required over 90% of the time and reaching is required about 50% of the time.  The ability to travel to field sites may be required up to 15% of the time.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

Over 90% of the time is spent indoors, with protection from weather conditions. Exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable is present in only unusual situations.

 

 

PAY RANGE

Pay range for this position is $22-26/hr.
